- Invalid Password error message when logging into the XWIS servers?
Use the XWIS password supplied in the Control Panel.
- Serial Registered Already?
The serial number entered has already been registered to a Strike-Team account. One Serial per account is only allowed.
- Password Not Remembering when selecting 'Remember Me' in Game
Run the game as Administrator by right clicking game.exe/ra2.exe and selecting 'Run as Administrator'. If it still continues to happen, read here about turning UAC off (Latter applies to Vista/WIN7 Users)
- I have a Black Screen/Major connection problems/Reconnection Errors/Disconection Errors
Remove the Lan Patch file from your Game Directory 'wsock32.dll'. Typically comes with the TFD 1.03 unofficial patch.
- Is cheating forbidden on XWIS?
Yes! Please read the server rules before continuing to play, if you are using cheats on the server you will be banned.
- I've been a victim of cheating, how do I report a cheater?

- When clicking internet, I don't enter a login screen, instead I get fetching server list?
Answer: Go to Start > Run and type C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts. Hit enter, open it up with Notepad and clear any westwood related entries in there. Save and retry. AND/OR install the XWIS Client Hit XWIS, close and retry.
How to Play Online: Red Alert 2
Red Alert 2 is not Free to Play. How to Play Red Alert 2/Yuri's Revenge Online:
EA Have NOT Released Red Alert 2 as Freeware. It is not Free to Play. It requires a LEGAL, UNSHARED Serial Number, i.e from a newly bought game case, NOT from the internet. You can purchase a Red Alert 2 Account from the XWIS Control Panel allowing you to play online. Processing could take up to 24 hours, (normally less). We recommend using the following install instructions:
- Download Red Alert 2
- Log into the Control Panel using your Strike-Team username and Password. Add a Red Alert 2 serial and create a Red Alert 2 Nickname, noting down the XWIS password supplied.
- Start the game as administrator.
- Click Internet.
- Click Custom Match.
- Enter the Red Alert 2 Nickname and XWIS password you noted down from the Control Panel
- Enjoy!

EA Have released Tiberian Sun as Freeware. Is it Free to Play Online?
How to Play Tiberian Sun Online:
Yes! Tiberian Sun was released as Freeware by EA not so long ago. We recommend using the following install instructions:
- Download Tiberian Sun
- Log into the Control Panel and Create a Tiberian Sun nickname, noting down the XWIS password supplied.
- Start the game as Administrator.
- Click Internet. Enter the Tiberian Sun Nickname and XWIS password you noted down from the Control Panel
- Enjoy TS Online!
Battle Clans and Nicknames: Manage them by logging in with your Strike-Team Account over at the XWIS Control Panel.
Tiberian Sun requires a serial number if you are wanting to play ranked games, playing non ranked games is free! To participate in Ladder games, you can use a serial from a newly bought game, or by purchasing an account from the Control Panel. Online Ladders for Tiberian Sun can be found on the XWIS Website.
